Root Canal

Root canal treatment is needed when the tooth’s nerve dies or is expected to die. The dead nerve in the center of a tooth is removed, the canal space is filled with a special material, and the access hole in tooth is sealed with a filling or cap (crown). A tooth with a root canal can last for many years.
